I use Twitter through Talon for Android and all this weekend it has been failing to load any content. Evidently I’m not alone.

According to some sites (The Information, MacStories), this is by design. Which I guess I can understand, if your goals are short-term (and nothing has convinced me that they aren’t). This impacts users that aren’t seeing ads, boosted tweets, or other revenue sources.

This is probably the final nail for me. I have never been a fan of the actual Twitter android app and I’ve been teetering on the edge of bailing on twitter anyway. It’ll be sad not to see updates from people but I’ll work to follow them on other platforms.
